MHS JVs complete season
The Middlesex High School junior varsity baseball team lost three games in May, falling 12-1 to West Point on May 1; 14-6 to Mathews on May 4; and 4-2 to King William on May 8 to complete its season. Against West Point, Mason Phillips singled for the only Charger hit in the game.

MHS Baseball: Bristow, Ceballos shine
imageThe Middlesex High varsity baseball team split a pair of Tidewater District home games this week, defeating Mathews 6-1 on Friday and losing 12-7 to first place King William on Tuesday. On Friday, Middlesex avenged an earlier loss to Mathews with a 6-1 decision at the Deltaville Ballpark.


MHS trackmen seek district title May 16
The Middlesex High School boys track team won a tri-meet against West Point and King and Queen on May 2, at West Point. The Chargers won the meet with 77 points. King and Queen was second with 45 points, and West Point was third with 24 points.


Boddie Tourney golf winners named
imageThe 3rd annual Father John Boddie Memorial Golf Classic took place May 4 at Piankatank River Golf Club (PRGC) in Hartfield. Eighty-eight players competed in the event hosted by the Church of The Visitation, Topping. Pastor Robert Cummins welcomed the golfers and sent them to their tees with a blessing.
