Youth basketball title games are Saturday
The Middlesex Youth Basketball League will conclude its 2009 season this Saturday, March 7, with the tournament championship games at Middlesex High School.

Lancaster High scored a dual victory Saturday night as its boys and girls basketball teams captured their respective Region A Division 2 tournament championships at LHS.

MHS Coach Griffin posts record win
William Griffin posted win number 111 late this season to become the most-winning girls basketball coach in Middlesex High School history. Former coach Andrew Hence held the previous record of 109 wins.

Lancaster High scored a dual victory Saturday night as its boys and girls basketball teams captured their respective Region A Division 2 tournament championships at LHS. By doing so, both teams earn a home berth in next weekend's State Group A, Division 2 Tournament quarterfinals.

Seahorses win 4th straight Prep League title
Sophomore Mike Gbinije had 29 points, 8 rebounds, 4 blocks and 4 steals to lead Christchurch School to a 71-68 win over St. Anne’s Belfield (STAB) in the championship game of the Virginia Prep League Tournament at Trinity Episcopal High School in Richmond last Saturday.
