Lockley repeats as district MVP
Middlesex’s Ryheem Lockley and Cody Hunter were named first team All-Tidewater District and Jeromy Rich was selected to the second team in a vote of boys basketball league coaches last week. For a second straight season, Patrick Weller of Middlesex was voted Coach-of-the-Year and Lockley was named Player-of-the-Year.

Christchurch School Prep League Champions
imageThe Christchurch Seahorses beat Fork Union Military Academy (78-69) in the semifinals and Woodberry Forest (75-64) in the finals to win the Prep League Tournament held this weekend at St. Christopher’s School, in Richmond.


Chargers win Tidewater District tourney; seeded 2nd in upcoming Region A tourney
imageMiddlesex bolted to a 31-12 halftime lead and went on down Mathews 57-44 to capture the boys tournament championship of the Tidewater District Friday night at King William. The Chargers (15-4) are seeded second in the upcoming six-team Region A Division 2 Tournament.
