Ryman’s AC & Heating rallied from an 8-point halftime deficit to edge Pitts Lumber in overtime, 20-18, and capture the Junior Boys Division tournament title in the Middlesex Youth Basketball League Saturday at Middlesex High School.

Paul VI downs CCS in semifinals
For the third consecutive year the Seahorses ran into a buzz-saw in the state semifinals. The previous two years it was nationally-ranked and eventual state champion Benedictine that eliminated CCS. This year a red-hot Paul VI team proved to be the Seahorses’ downfall.

Four Middlesex High School girl distance runners participated in the Virginia Group A Indoor State Track Meet on Feb. 20 at the Estes Athletic Center at Fork Union Military Academy.

Christchurch advances to state quarterfinals
Seventh-seeded Christchurch School edged 10th-seeded Liberty Christian Academy 63-59 in the opening round of the 12-team State Division I Independent Schools Basketball Tournament Tuesday at CCS.
