The Middlesex High School girls tennis got off to a strong start on March 18 with a 6-3 win over Essex, but later in the week lost 6-3 to a strong Appomattox Regional Governor’s School team.

The Middlesex High School Alumni Basketball Games will be held Saturday, March 28, in the John S. Clements Memorial Gymnasium at MHS.

Chargers host RHS in opener Friday
Coach Timmy Blake likes what he sees in his 2009 Middlesex High varsity baseball team. Blake, now in his 10th year at the helm, has a solid group of returning players, a good crop of former JV players, and some first-year newcomers.

MHS boys seek 5th straight track title
The Middlesex High School boys track team has won four straight Tidewater District championships and coach Joel Anderson is hopeful this year will be number five for his team. On March 25, the Middlesex boys and girls will visit King William at 4 p.m.

Middlesex girls should challenge for district title
The Middlesex High varsity softball team has seven players returning from last year’s 17-3 team that was the first softball team in school history to advance to the State Group A Tournament.
