3-Peat: Chargers capture 3rd straight district title
Middlesex High won its third straight Tidewater District regular season championship Tuesday night at MHS in Saluda with a 60-46 win over West Point. The win put the Chargers (7-1, 10-8) of Coach Brody Jackson in a position to be the number #2 seed in the Region A Division 1 Tournament, which begins on Wednesday, February 22.

MHS girls finish second in district
The Middlesex High girls varsity basketball team defeated Tidewater District foe West Point 57-46 in a hard-fought battle on February 6 in its final regular season game. The Lady Chargers lost to district champion Mathews 47-40 on February 2 and finished 6-2 in the district and 7-11 overall.

Little League signup set
Middlesex County Little League registration for baseball, softball and T-ball for boys and girls ages 5-16 will be held on two Saturdays, February 18 and 25, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Middlesex County Sports Complex field house. Fees are $40 for one child, $10 for a second child, and $5 for each additional child per household.
