The Urbanna Hometown Christmas Parade took place on the streets of Urbanna last Friday night, December 6.
The winning entries in the Urbanna Christmas Parade are as follows:
Judges Awards (2), B.E.S.T. Marine, and Relay For Life; Mayor’s Award, Urbanna Baptist Church
Antique vehicles, first, 1931 Ford of John Blake, and second, 1986 Oldsmobile of Frankie Bristow;
Commercial floats, first, Bethpage and Grey’s Point campgrounds, and second, Cyndy’s Bynn;
Non-commercial floats, first, American Legion, and second, Dale Taylor;
Walking units, first, Middlesex Parks and Recreation, and second, Katie Bugs Crusade;
Specialty unit, Rappahannock Community College; equestrian, Village Cleaners;
Best appearing fire truck, Upper Middlesex Volunteer Fire Department;
Appreciation plaques, Middlesex High School Charger Band, and second, Hermitage Baptist Church Choir.
Honorary grand marshal George Allen described the parade as “so wholesome and friendly, and the way Christmas parades should be.”
