Polar Bear Plunge at Stingray Point
The fifth annual Stingray Point Polar Bear Plunge raised $4,350 for the Lower Middlesex Volunteer Fire Department. Dozens of brave souls plunged into the 36 degree Chesapeake Bay to prove just how big their hearts are. The 2009 Polar Bear of the Year was Tricia Geidraitis.

Youth basketball is alive in Middlesex County! The 2009 season was comprised of four divisions, sixteen teams and over one hundred and sixty players. Games are played at Middlesex High and Middlesex Elementary every Saturday during the season.
