MHS passes No Child Left Behind tests
Middlesex High School (MHS) met benchmarks in all 29 categories to receive AYP status. Middlesex Elementary School (MES) and St. Clare Walker Middle School (SCW) had received AYP status the past two years, but did not make it this year.

Exciting first day for Class of 2022
imageKindergarten student Katie Brooke, standing in line to go inside MES, gave a smiling wave to her mother, who couldn’t hold back a tear. “I’m worse off than she is,” said Karen Brooke of Stormont, who waited and watched with her husband Ed until their daughter’s class went inside.


Thirteen youngsters get a ‘bright’ start to school
image“Bright Beginnings helps provide new clothes and school supplies to children in our community who are in need. The goal of this program is to help children have a great start in school by giving them confidence and the tools they need to learn.”


Christchurch teachers attend Faculty Institute
imageThis year, as part of the Great Journeys initiative, teachers were treated to a week-long Faculty Institute hosted by academic dean Dr. Neal Keesee and nationally recognized place-based experts David Sobel and Julie Bartsch.
