The animals are coming to CCS

“It is not often that someone comes along who is a true friend and a good writer. Charlotte was both.” This is the closing line of the upcoming production of “The Accomplished Animal,” a theatre workshop piece now in rehearsal at Christchurch School.
A young cast of seven will showcase an autumn production that gives an entertaining and unique perspective of the humanity of the animal and features works by Paul Gallico, Paul Fleischman, and showcases an adaptation of Charlotte’s Web by E.B. White. The production is under the direction of Mark L. Parsons, chair of Visual and Performing Arts at CCS.
As an outgrowth of the Theatre Arts Class, this showcase highlights and provides the student opportunity to engage and practice skills gained in the classroom. The international cast includes seniors Xin Shi, Ge Yibo, Braden Young and George Zeng. Sophomores Hector Guzman and Caitlyn Ridings together with freshman Evan Mason round out the cast.
The production is set for Tuesday, November 12, at 7 p.m. in Marston Hall on the Christchurch School campus. As this is an all-school function, there will be limited seating. There is no admission charge.
