St. Margaret’s awards scholarships
Two area students have received the Daingerfield Merit Scholarship from St. Margaret’s School in Tappahannock. The award is given to exceptional, incoming, day students. The recipients, Lauren Harter and Lexie Robinson, were chosen for their outstanding academic ability, strong character and citizenship, and their potential to make the greatest contribution to the St. Margaret’s community.
Lauren Harter recently graduated from Aylett Country Day School and will attend St. Margaret’s as a ninth-grader in the fall. Jim Rice, the head of school at Aylett, said, “Lauren is an outstanding young lady of high character and was an asset to our school. She is very dedicated to her education, as well as her extracurricular activities. She will flourish at St. Margaret’s.”
Lexie Robinson, who also will be in the ninth grade, graduated from Richmond County Intermediate School this spring. According to the intermediate school principal Patricia Means, “Lexie is a very bright and outgoing young lady. She is a wonderful girl and excellent young student.”
