RCC Players present ‘Our Town’ Nov. 21

On Friday, November 21, and Friday, December 5, members of Rappahannock Community College’s drama classes and faculty, also known as the RCC Players, will present Thornton Wilder’s Pulitzer Prize-winning play, “Our Town.”

Led by Josh Hall as the stage manager, the Players take us through a day in the life of “Our Town”— Grover’s Corners, New Hampshire, on May 7, 1901—during Act I. Here we meet a number of the town’s citizens, including the romantic leads, Emily Webb and George Gibbs, who are played by Erin Martin and Stephen Grimm. Emily and George are next-door neighbors and members of the same high school class in Grover’s Corners.

The current production will be staged in the lecture halls on each RCC campus, at Glenns for the November 21 performance and at Warsaw on December 5. Both performances will start at 7:30 p.m., with an admission charge of $5 per person. As seating is limited, reservations are required; please call Karen Lewis at 758-6730 to reserve seats for the Glenns performance, or Mary Gaskins at 333-6730 for Warsaw.
