‘Night on the Rappahannock, a Musical Revue’ due February 9-10 at Christchurch School

The Visual and Performing Arts Department at Christchurch School will hold this year’s winter theatre production, “Night on the Rappahannock, a Musical Revue,” at 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, February 9-10, in The David and Wendy Charlton Fine & Performing Arts Center in Marston Hall. The show is an original compilation in a revue format. The public is invited. Forty-nine students (above), nearly 25% of the student body, will act, sing and dance as they bring this moonlight mystery, set on the Rappahannock River, to life. A team of six creative student writers is crafting the mysterious and clever script. Students oversee every aspect of the production from the writing to set design and decoration; to on-stage singing and acting; to costuming and props; to light, sound and effects; to house management and hospitality. The production is directed and produced by Mark Parsons. Lexi Byers is artistic director, Mike Carey is creative director, and Michael McNeill is technical/accompanist. Musical highlights include Round Midnight, Tonight (Westside Story), Fly Me to the Moon, Midnight Train to Georgia, Starry Starry Night, Moondance, In the Still of the Night, Arthur’s Theme, All Through the Night, Moon River, and so much more. General admission is $10 for adults, $5 for students ages 8-18, and $2.50 for children under age 8. For questions or reservations, call 758-2306, ext. 277 or email
