Congress Experience!

Cydney Fisher, Olivia Wilder, Darrin Fisher, Reese Harris, Ean Reed and Jessie Selph attended the 89th Virginia 4-H Congress which was held June 15-18 on the campus of Virginia Tech. 4-H Congress is the premier statewide annual 4-H event for outstanding 4-H teens. They were just several of the 500 teens from across the Commonwealth who participated in this year’s experience. The theme was “Constructing the Future Through 4-H.”

The mission of State 4-H Congress is to provide educational experiences to Virginia Senior 4-H members. Congress helps develop life skills and leadership abilities. Events included assemblies, competitions, dances, workshops and much more.

On June 17 during Congress, Deanie Brewer-Selph was inducted into the Virginia Chapter of 4-H All Stars. This is the highest honor a 4-H member or leader can receive. Deanie was recognized for her leadership and dedication to the Middlesex 4-H Cloverbud Day Camp.
