MHS band haunted house was a success

Middlesex High band students and boosters once again put on a good show with their Hallowed Grounds Haunted House.
The Middlesex High band and boosters once again staged an impressive and successful Hallowed Grounds Haunted House fundraiser that attracted several hundred visitors.

The MHS band and boosters issued the following statement this week:

“We would like to thank the community for its support. This year was a great success and we are looking forward to next year and providing another exciting Halloween event.
“A special thank you to B.E.S.T. Boatyard and Marine for allowing us to use their facility. The owners, Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Bunch, along with Mr. and Mrs. Henry Smith, were overwhelmingly supportive and look forward to Hallowed Grounds being held on their property next year.

“A thank you to the Middlesex School Board and administration for approving this event. Mr. Rusty Fairheart (school superintendent) won the last raffle at the MHS home football game and donated his winnings back to the band. Dr. Shores again this year made a generous monetary donation to the band. We appreciate everything you do to support the band!

“Hallowed Grounds had several businesses and individuals that offered monetary donations, discounts, supplies, and  aided in many other areas. Your kindness and generosity are overwhelming.”

The businesses and individuals included American Standard Insurance, Birdseed Electric, Delta Welding, Doc Jones Auto Parts, EASI Printing, EVB, Hartfield Volunteer Fire Department, Henley’s Do-it Center, Jack Hunter Signs, WHW, Zymetrical Inc.,  Wayne Ballantyne, Mr. and Mrs. Matt Baker, Mr. and Mrs. Ward Barnes, Melvin Burch,  Dr. Castle, Mr. and Mrs. Marty Folkes, James Hall, Marvin Mason III, Mr. and Mrs. Ken Moody, Ms. Ross, John Rupp, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Revere, Spencer Burch, Dana Wood, several anonymous donors, and the parents that gave countless hours in preparation of the haunted house.
