Jumping for healthy hearts

image

The students at Middlesex Elementary School recently participated in the American Heart Association’s Jump Rope for Heart. Second-grader Abigail Purcell (right) from Mrs. Aliff’s class raised the most money school-wide, and Mrs. Murfee’s kindergarten class (above) raised the most money as a class school-wide. The entire third grade raised the most money overall school-wide.

A total of $2,497 was raised by MES students.

“I am very proud of the efforts of the students at MES for showing their care and concern for those who are less fortunate,” said MES physical education teacher Greg Harrow, who spearheads the annual event.
