Honor Society raising funds for breast cancer

The National Honor Society at Middlesex High School has dedicated their 2008-09 chapter project to raise money for the Susan G. Komen Fund. All the proceeds go specifically  to breast cancer research.

As a start to this project, the students and faculty of Middlesex High School wear pink every Thursday in October. For every person who participates, a certain amount of money is donated by several local businesses, and all of  the money  goes to the Susan G. Komen Fund.

The National Honor Society also sells pink ribbons at the school for 25 cents to raise breast cancer awareness. The funds generated are donated to the Susan G. Komen Fund.

Pink bracelets made by a member of the community also are on sale for $15, of which $10 goes directly to the Susan G. Komen Fund, and $5 is returned to the crafter.

Anyone who would like to support the National Honor Society’s move to find a cure, please contact, visit or mail donations to Middlesex High School. The bracelets also are available to the public at MHS.
