Have you heard about PluggedInVA?
The Middle Peninsula Regional Adult Continuing Education (R.A.C.E.) program and the Job Assistance Center are now accepting applications for the PluggedInVA program. In just 13 weeks you could be on your way to a new career as a dental assistant. Earn high school credentials (GED) and job readiness training as well as training in dental assisting from the Norge Dental School.
“I am thankful for the PluggedInVA program provided though MP R.A.C.E. and the Job Assistance Center. It has built up my self-esteem and given me hope for a better future. The encouragement and dedicated support of the staff has given me the motivation to strive for a better life.
“I was able to enroll in this program through a collaboration between the Middle Peninsula Regional Security Center and the Job Assistance Center. My acceptance into the program has brought me true rehabilitation. I love the class. I feel I am learning and becoming a productive citizen in my community. Seeing me in the program has also inspired many other inmates to believe in themselves and to believe that they, too, can have a better life.
“Through PluggedInVA, I am working to obtain a career that I not only enjoy, but enables me to help others as well. The only people that don’t succeed are those who haven’t been given the opportunity. PluggedInVA is that opportunity. The PluggedInVA program offers courage to the brave.”
Are you ready to turn your life around? PluggedInVA can get you there. An information session will be held on Friday, January 24, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Job Assistance Center in Shacklefords.
