GED same day scoring tests set for May 2 in Essex
The Essex GED Testing Program will offer its next GED test on Saturday, May 2, at the Essex County School Board Office in Tappahannock.
Candidates who choose this date will have their answer sheets scanned on site, and will have scores available online on the test day. Candidates may view their scores by going to the GED123.org website through use of access codes assigned specifically to them.
The test is open and available to all area adults. Adult education classes are not required for registration. The cost for the entire test battery remains at $43.50, with retests being $7 per test. Candidates may choose to take the complete battery of Writing, Mathematics, Social Studies, Science, and Reading, or may take tests of their own choosing.
Candidates may register in their county of residence, specifying the Essex test date, or may register at the Essex County School Board Office in Tappahannock on or before Wednesday, April 22. Early registration is encouraged, since many adults needing to seek other employment are interested in GED certification.
For personal guidance regarding the GED testing program, candidates may contact Bonita Smith, chief examiner, at 443-2151; or Kimberly Hodges, alternate examiner, at 443-4366.
