Come dressed in blue
Middlesex High School is “calling all members of Charger Nation” to the first annual “Blue Game” to be played Thursday, November 6, at 7 p.m. against Tidewater District arch-rival Mathews.
During the Blue Game, members of the community who serve and protect will be recognized and honored at half time. All current members of Middlesex volunteer fire departments, rescue squads, and the sheriff’s office are cordially invited to attend the game for a special recognition at halftime, said MHS principal Chris Valdrighi. “Please wear your uniform and get in free.”
All current Middlesex students are invited to demonstrate their school pride by attending the game “covered in blue.”
Admission will be free for those students who currently attend either high school, middle school or elementary school in Middlesex, wear Charger blue clothing, and donate a can of food to benefit “Operation Thanksgiving” baskets distributed by Bethlehem Lodge.
The free admission extends to members of the Middlesex Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Brownie Troops and members of any other civic organization who wants to dress in blue and show their community and team spirit.
Those who are 12-year-old and under must be accompanied by an adult, said Valdrighi.
“We hope to see all of you, ‘The best fans in the Tidewater,’ on November 6 at MHS,” said Valdrighi.
