Christchurch to graduate 52 Saturday


Christchurch School will hold its 87th commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 30, at 10:30 a.m. on the Headmaster’s Lawn. John E. Byers, headmaster, will be the speaker. A picnic luncheon for students, parents, families and the Christchurch community will follow.

There are 52 students in the Class of 2009. The valedictorian is Hannah Katrin Lidicker, daughter of George and Kathy Lidicker of Irvington. She will attend the University of Pennsylvania.

The other candidates for graduation are Blake Hunter Atwell of Kingsville, Md.; Charles Samuel Benhase of Washington, D.C.; Ethan Michael Brown of White Stone; Andrew Allison Bryan of North; Yu Kan Chang of Taichung, Taiwan; Ha Raum Cho of Seoul, Korea; Nicholas Charles Choppa of Falls Church; Travis Lee Collins of North; Alvin Cruz of Bayside, N.Y.; Noble Cunningham Jr. of Washington, D.C.; Nicholas Brandon Denecke of Bristow; Berchell Kyle Egerton of Brooklyn, N.Y.; Dong Kyu Eo of Seoul, Korea; and Larkin Lacey Epstein of Urbanna.

A baccalaureate service will be held at 4:30 p.m. Friday, May 29, in St. Peter’s Chapel, with the traditional Senior Banquet and Awards Ceremony to follow. After the banquet, seniors will enjoy a 3-hour Chesapeake Bay cruise.
