Celina Knez is Academy teacher
Celina Knez of Locust Hill and teacher at West Point High School was selected to teach at the Governor’s School Spanish Academy this summer.
The Academy is an immersion program in Spanish.
The best 60 Spanish high school students from 1,000 applicants in Virginia are selected through a very rigorous process to attend the three-week program at VCU. The Academy is sponsored by the State Department of Education. Only six teachers throughout Virginia were accepted to teach at the academy.
