Aylett Fair to feature auction, food, car show
Aylett Country Day School’s 47th annual Country Fair will take place Saturday, September 28, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on the school campus at 1357 Powcan Road in Millers Tavern.
Returning to the fair this year will be a farmers’ market with food and craft vendors, the monster truck “Walking Tall,” and a live alpaca exhibit.
Also featured will be many activities for adults and children alike, including a silent auction, dunking booth, lawn mower pull, inflatables and bounce houses, face painting, antique cars, and games.
Aylett volunteers will serve hot food prepared on-site. On the menu is Aylett’s signature chili, which is available for pre-order. Other food includes crab cakes, hot dogs, hamburgers, funnel cakes, and more.
Fresh baked pies, homemade cakes, cookies, breads and tarts will be available for sale in Aylett’s Country Kitchen, along with some of the tri-county’s finest canned goods, including jellies, jams, salsas, pickles, relish and much more.
Visit the school’s website for vendor applications and additional information about the fair.
There is no entry application for the antique car show. Cars must be on the lot by 9:30 a.m. the day of the fair for judging.
The ACDS Fair is a school-wide volunteer effort held by the Parents’ League and is fully staffed by teachers, parents and friends of the school. All proceeds support children’s educational programs.
