| The Aylett Country Day School Alumni Association recently completed the construction of a new fence on the school grounds with the help of Ball Lumber Corporation and Virginia Fence Company. From left, Dale Turpin, business manager and design consultant for the school grounds; JoJo McKinley (’78), president of the Alumni Association; and Lewis Ball (’91), member of the Alumni Board of Directors and chairman of the project. |
Lewis Ball (’91) member of the Alumni Association Board of Directors, volunteered to head up the project and, within days of the association’s approval, the materials were donated by Ball Lumber Corporation and the project was under way.
Cammie Osburn Vaughan (’92) then contacted Virginia Fence Company and president Gerry Gravatt, a former patron of the school, offered to donate the labor for the construction. “This is a fine example of how our alumni can turn around fast and get something done when the school needs it,” said Judy Allen, alumni director.
