4-H club plans open house

If you have been considering joining a 4-H Club or are just curious as to what 4-Hers do, you are invited to attend a Tri-County 4-H Club open house on Monday, October 15, from 5:30-7 p.m. at the Freeshade Community Center, 1544 Regent Rd., Syringa.

The club is open to all youth 5-18 years of age who are interested in learning about or working with livestock, poultry, pets, gardening or wildlife. You do not have to own animals or live in Middlesex County to join.

Members do community service projects, go on field trips, attend camps, show horses, poultry and rabbits, learn lost arts such as spinning and canning, have bake sales, enter arts and crafts and baked goods in the State Fair, and so much more.
