19 Grads from Glenns Campus Governor’s School
Members of the class as a whole have given over 2,800 hours of community service, with three earning Presidential Community Service Awards: two at the Bronze level for 100-249 hours; and one at the Gold level for over 300 hours in one academic year.

“In the 70s and 80s, this was the best place to be, this side of heaven,” said Rappahannock Community College associate professor Gerald Horner, who retired at the end of the spring semester from a position teaching health, physical education, and recreation.

“Singing into Spring” was the theme for Chesapeake Academy’s Spring Sing 2009 concert directed by music teacher Beth Somers on May 28. The musical play "Bugz" was performed by students in kindergarten through fourth grade dressed as insects going to a picnic, said spokeswoman Julia Zimmerman.
