Safety improvements needed at all schools
After the tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut, where 20 first-graders and six adult staff members were gunned down on December 14, 2012, Middlesex County school officials have reviewed the safety of county schools.


Sixth-graders make strong showing on history SOL
imageSixth-graders at St. Clare Walker Middle School took their first round of Standards of Learning (SOL) tests at the end of January. After a semester of hard work, both by teachers and students, 93% of students passed the U.S. History I test.


Ware students feel crafty about community work
imageLast week students of Ware Academy in Gloucester completed handmade artistic fingerprint posters to be displayed in the waiting room of the newly-constructed Gloucester-Mathews Free Clinic.
