All Middlesex schools earn state accreditation
The final Standard Of Learning (SOL) and Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) results have been determined and all Middlesex County Schools are state accredited. The results were reported by assistant superintendent of schools Dr. James F. Lane Monday night at the school board’s regular monthly meeting.

Being part of a community of honor is an essential part of the middle school experience at Chesapeake Academy. During the first week of school, students are directed by student council officers to queue up to sign the school’s honor code.

The Rappahannock Art League presented grants totaling $1,800 to Middlesex County public schools. The grants are intended to supplement public funds and assist in purchasing classroom art supplies. The art league believes art education is important in developing students’ creativity, said Wilcox.
