Harrow earns MAT degree
Bailey Harrow of Hardyville graduated May 4, 2012, from James Madison University in Harrisonburg. She received a MAT degree in elementary education.

The Piankatank River Golf Club Learning Program is intended to offer students a new avenue to learning in the classroom as well as the golf course. The program is set up to give students assistance with their studies or any class they are struggling with—first and foremost.

On May 4-6, eight St. Clare Walker Middle School and eight Middlesex High School TSA members competed at the Virginia TSA Technosphere 2012 State Leadership Conference at the Richmond Convention Center. The purpose of Technosphere is to bring together like-minded students, who are passionate about technology and STEM education.

In light of the recent tornados in Kentucky, Louisiana and Illinois, the students of Aylett Country Day School decided to reach out to their neighbors in West Liberty, Kentucky, to help with much-needed contributions. West Liberty Elementary was completely devastated by the tornado; many homes were destroyed and lives were lost.
