In order to help public libraries “advance their role as centers for education and learning,” Eastern Virginia Bankshares (EVB) has recently donated 20 new computer systems to area libraries. One of these was Rappahannock Community College’s Glenns Campus Learning Resource Center.
02.16.2011RI Academy scholarship deadline is March 3
The Rappahannock Industrial Academy Alumni Association is seeking applicants for its annual scholarships. The scholarships are open to African-American students who are graduating seniors in the public high schools of Essex, Middlesex, and King and Queen counties, or who are residents of these counties.
02.16.2011CCS plans to enroll girls as boarding students
Christchurch School announced today plans to expand its boarding program and enroll girls as boarding students, beginning in August 2012. Christchurch began as a boys boarding school in 1921 and has enrolled both boys and girls as day students since 1973. The school serves students in grades 9-12.
