Bright Beginnings sends 25 students back to school
Like hundreds of the other Middlesex County youth, 25 school-aged youth went back to school shopping to prepare for the upcoming academic year. There was one catch however. They shopped for free as part of the 5th annual Middlesex Family YMCA’s Bright Beginnings outreach program.

Sharing firsthand knowledge on how to create and sustain a successful middle school, staff from St. Clare Walker Middle School in Middlesex County joined educators from middle grades schools across the country that have been nationally recognized as “Schools to Watch” through the National Forum to Accelerate Middle-Grades Reform.

09.02.2010VIMS welcomes new students
The School of Marine Science (SMS) at the Virginia Institute of Marine Science welcomed incoming graduate students to campus during a 2-day orientation session before the start of classes on August 25th. The 27 new students represent the second largest class in SMS history.
