Knupp wins MHS Poetry Out Loud event
On January 14, ten Middlesex High School students competed in the school-wide Poetry Out Loud recitation contest. Poetry Out Loud is a national contest organized by the National Endowment for the Arts and the Poetry Foundation.

MES Spelling Bee
Sixteen 4th and 5th grade students earned the right to participate in the 2009 Richmond Times-Dispatch Spelling Bee at Middlesex Elementary School.

SCW Geography Bee
The St. Clare Walker Middle School students above participated in the Geography Bee held on Jan. 14. The winner of the Geography Bee was Zach Jones, who will move on to compete at the regional Geography Bee.
