Christchurch School’s ‘Walk for Sudan’ fundraiser
imageOn Sunday, April 22, Christchurch School will hold a “Walk for Sudan” fundraiser for Hope for Resurrection School in Sudan. This fun-filled day encompasses a walk, children’s activities, a dunking booth, and a car wash. Registration for the walk will begin at 1 p.m. and the walk will be from 2 to 4 p.m.

Four named to dean’s list at VaTech
Four students from Middlesex County enrolled at Virginia Tech were named to the dean’s list for the fall 2011 semester. To qualify for the dean’s list, students must attempt at least 12 credit hours graded on the A-F option and earn a 3.4 grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) during the semester.


Crittenden Scholarship is offered
Applications are now available for the Matthew S. Crittenden Memorial Scholarship. This year’s recipient will receive a four-year scholarship in the amount of $500 per year. Those students who are currently Middlesex High School seniors, have a 3.0 or better GPA, and have participated in youth or school sports are eligible to apply.


CCS sophomores test waters
imageAs part of the Great Journeys Curriculum, the entire sophomore class participated in an immersion trip from March 29, 2012 until March 31, 2012. The purpose of this trip was to allow students to study the ecology, economics and equity of the Rappahannock River from the Chesapeake Bay to the headwaters to the Rappahannock in the mountains of Virginia.
