It was erroneously reported in the March 3 Southside Sentinel that a special education teacher at St. Clare Walker Middle School will retire and will not be replaced in next school year. Actually, no special education teacher is retiring. School officials are simply not replacing a middle school special education teacher who resigned during the current school year.

Students from Chesapeake Bay Governor’s School in Glenns took second place at the 14th annual Blue Crab Bowl on February 26. Students from this year’s first place team, Bishop Sullivan High School of Virginia Beach, will compete in the National Ocean Science Bowl Competition April 29-May 1 in Galveston, Texas.
