Earl Brown earns GED
Adult Literacy on the Middle Peninsula Inc. provides free one-to-one tutoring to adults who wish to improve basic reading and math skills, prepare for the GED tests, and teaches non-native speakers English as a second language. 

‘Lend Me a Tenor’ to be presented at Essex High
The Essex High School (EHS) Drama Department in Tappahannock will present Ken Ludwig’s comedy, “Lend Me a Tenor,” December 5-7, at 7 p.m each night. Tickets may be purchased at the door for $10 cash.

Middle school Book Fair set for Dec. 3-10
The St. Clare Walker Middle School media center at Locust Hill will host a Book Fair December 3-10. It will be open daily from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. On Monday, December 9, the Book Fair will have extended hours until 6 p.m.
