Discovery Day planned at CA
Chesapeake Academy will host Discovery Day “Rainforest Trek” on Saturday, March 28, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. for children ages 3 to kindergarten, and from 9 to 11 a.m. for curious-minded kid explorers in grades 1-5.

Farm Bureau donates ‘book barn’ to MES
Members of the Middlesex County Farm Bureau Board and Women’s Committee recently worked together to build a “book barn,” which was presented to the Middlesex Elementary School media center along with 22 books on agriculture and farm life.

CBGS at RCC: 3rd in Marine Science contest
The team from the Chesapeake Bay Governor’s School (CBGS)-Glenns Campus took one of four top slots in the 2009 Blue Crab Bowl on Feb. 21. This Virginia regional competition of the National Ocean Sciences Bowl (NOSB) was held at the Virginia Institute of Marine Science (VIMS) campus in Gloucester Point.

Ware honors Dr. Seuss with recyclng drive
Ware Academy celebrated Dr. Seuss Day on Feb. 27 with a weeklong recycling drive to honor “The Lorax” book written by Dr. Seuss.
