History storyteller to share story of slavery and freedom
Professional storyteller and historical character interpreter Sheila Arnold Jones will present a dramatic performance of “Freedom! Or Not? Sarah’s Story” on Monday, February 26, at Historic Christ Church & Museum, 420 Christ Church Road near Weems.

School officials recognized
imageFebruary is School Board Appreciation Month and school board members and administrators were recognized for their work at the school board meeting on Monday, February 12.


Over $400,000 in scholarships available to RCC students; deadline to apply is Feb. 16
Over $400,000 in scholarships is available to students who will be enrolled at Rappahannock Community College in the next academic year (2018-19). The deadline to apply is February 16. Scholarships are available to full-time and part-time students.


RCC EMS program achieves accreditation
The Emergency Medical Services (EMS) program at Rappahannock Community College (RCC) reached several milestones this year. Another accomplishment the program boasts of this year is their 100% pass rate of students for the National Registry Paramedic Exam over the last year.
