Bell receives JMU degree
John-Eric Bell of Hartfield graduated with a degree in intelligence analysis from James Madison University at commencement exercises in May 2016.

Chesapeake Academy graduates Class of 2016
imageChesapeake Academy (CA) held commencement exercises for the Class of 2016 on Tuesday, June 7. After an invocation by 2015-16 student council president Lily Reihs, head of school Deborah M. Cook warmly welcomed the school community, conferred the school’s honor roll, and headmaster’s list certificates for the year and awarded “sandbox awards.”


Middlesex School Board meeting set
The Middlesex County School Board will hold a special school board meeting on Monday, June 27, at 3 p.m. at the Cooks Corner Office Complex, mostly to conduct personnel matters in closed session concerning the hiring of a new superintendent of schools.
