R.A.C.E. GED graduation set
Middle Peninsula R.A.C.E. GED graduation ceremonies will be held Friday, June 6, at 6 p.m. at St. John’s Episcopal Church, West Point. Contact the regional office at 888-769-1151 for more information and to R.S.V.P.

Activities set for 2014 MHS grads
Several activities for the Middlesex High School Class of 2014 are scheduled for coming weeks. Graduation will be on Saturday, June 14, at 10 a.m. Seniors are to arrive at 9 a.m. and report to the auditorium. Graduation attire is required. Guests will need a ticket to attend graduation.


Waterman’s Park is now cleaner thanks to three SCW students
imageOn April 18 and May 17, three St. Clare Walker (SCW) Middle School students completed a cleanup of Urbanna’s Waterman’s Park. Waterman’s Park is on Colorado Avenue in Urbanna, and it is open to the public from sunrise to sunset.


MHS student to attend Governor’s School for the Humanities
Kimani Robinson, a rising junior at Middlesex High School, has been selected to attend the Summer Residential Governor’s School for Humanities, a four-week program hosted by the Virginia Department of Education and Radford University.
