RCC Culinary Arts Program cooking up surprises for fall
imageFor anyone who has met RCC culinary arts professor Hatley Bright, enthusiasm is not something she lacks. Excitement flows from her, spatula-like water over Niagara Falls, and the faucet has been turned up all the way, now that she’ll be getting her space at the Glenns Campus.

Free back-to-school haircuts offered this Saturday at The Cryer Center
On Saturday, August 26, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., free haircuts will be offered to all children returning to school. There will be four hairstylists from Coiffures By Joanne at the Cryer Center in Locust Hill to offer this free service.


Brad Nelson earns Eagle Scout status
imageBrad Evans Nelson, a graduate of Gloucester High School and the son of Bruce and Terry Nelson of Gloucester, earned the rank of Eagle Scout on April 11, 2017. He was recognized during an Eagle Scout Court of Honor ceremony on August 17 at the Deltaville Maritime Museum.


Songwriter to perform at academy
On Wednesday, September 27, award-winning singer and songwriter Cathy Bollinger will kick off the 2017-18 Performing Arts and Lecture Series at Chesapeake Academy in Irvington.
