Record number of RCC practical nursing grads pinned
In a congratulatory email addressed to the whole college, Charles Smith, RCC dean of health services, said, “There were 26 graduates with many friends and family in attendance. The venue was perfect (Essex High School) and the ceremony outstanding . . . everything went off without a hitch.”

Ransone awarded two Soil and Water District scholarships
At the last meeting of the Tidewater Soil and Water Conservation District (TSWCD), the board was visited by the group’s latest college scholarship winner. Tidewater SWCD awarded Elizabeth Ransone of Mathews the $1,000 Martin Menges College Scholarship.

Ware Academy offers scholarships
