R.A.C.E. plans GED prep classes
Middle Peninsula (MP) R.A.C.E. is registering students for free GED prep classes. The 10 classes will begin on September 15 and end on November 20 in each county of the Middle Peninsula.

RCC-RILL course caters to computer beginners
The Rappahannock Community College (RCC) Educational Foundation’s Rappahannock Institute for Lifelong Learning (RILL) will soon present “Introduction to Computers” at the L.E. Smoot Memorial Library in King George.


Northern Neck Montessori School names office manager
imageThe Northern Neck Montessori School has announced the hiring of Emily May as office manager. She holds a bachelor of fine arts degree in theatre performance, graduating cum laude from Virginia Commonwealth University in 1986.


School Menus
School lunch prices at Middlesex County Schools will increase due to the new nutrition standards and regulations. Elementary school lunches will increase 5 cents to $2.05; and middle/high schools by 10 cents to $2.30. Reduced lunch prices remain at 40 cents.
