Early literacy program expanded based on 1st-year
Building on the initial success of an early literacy program in the Northern Neck and Middle Peninsula, the trustees of the Jessie Ball duPont Fund agreed to extend their support of the program over the next three years.

The results, released this week in The Chronicle’s eighth annual report on The Academic Workplace, are based on a survey of 281 colleges and universities.


Bagby receives special award from Knights of Pythagoras
Members of the local chapter of the Knights of Pythagoras attended the 40th annual Building Leadership Assembly sponsored by the North Carolina Knights of Pythagoras. For the second year in a row, Carnell Bagby of Church View was named “Most Venerable Master Knight of Virginia.”
