CCS plans to enroll girls as boarding students
Christchurch School announced today plans to expand its boarding program and enroll girls as boarding students, beginning in August 2012. Christchurch began as a boys boarding school in 1921 and has enrolled both boys and girls as day students since 1973. The school serves students in grades 9-12.

MHS sophomores plan fashion show
imageThe Middlesex High School sophomore class will host a fashion show at 6 p.m. on Saturday, February 19, to celebrate Black History Month. The theme of this event is “Be Your Own Brand,” reinforcing the fact that it is okay to be yourself and to be different from others.


MHS scholastic bowl team is 5th in region
Following a lengthy bus ride to Colonial Beach, the Middlesex High School scholastic bowl team defeated Sussex in the first round of the Region A Tournament on Saturday. Led by Hunter Banks, Kelli Musick, Rachel Musick and Rebecca Walker, the Chargers started fast and maintained a lead throughout the match.


School budget meetings scheduled
The Middlesex County School Board will hold a work session on the 2011-12 (FY12) county school budget on Thursday, February 17, at 4 p.m. The school board and board of supervisors will hold a joint school budget work session on Tuesday, February 22, at 7 p.m.
