CCS students publish book of short stories
Kempe posed the question, “What are the experiences that shaped you?” Each student spent time reflecting on the question, brainstorming possibilities, and ultimately writing a story that explains an essential part of who they are.

Reading comprehension camp set for July 7-9
Ashley Williams, a contestant in the 2010 Urbanna Oyster Festival Queen competition, will be holding a reading comprehension camp for rising 1st and 2nd graders at Calvary Baptist Church near Christchurch on July 7-9 from 9 a.m . to noon.


Duke, Payne awarded MHS Booster Club scholarships
imageThe Middlesex High School Athletic Booster Club is very proud to present $500 scholarships to two fine young athletes—Matthew Duke and Scott Payne. Duke received the 2010 Middlesex High School Athletic Booster Club Scholarship, and Payne received the 2010 John Lemons Memorial Scholarship.


Davis to attend Virginia Governor’s Russian Academy
imageCasey M. Davis of Middlesex, a rising 12th grade student at West Point High School, was selected through a rigorous statewide process that began over six months ago when students were first nominated by their foreign language instructor.
