GED tests planned
Middle Peninsula RACE will have two-part GED testing from 5-9 p.m. on Tuesday, February 8, and Thursday, February 10, at Acquinton Elementary School, 18550 King William Road, King William.

MHS scholastic bowl team finishes 2nd in district
imageThe Middlesex High scholastic bowl team defeated King William and West Point in back-to-back matches in the Tidewater District Tournament on Saturday at Mathews to advance to the Region A Tournament.


SCW Middle School & MHS earn state honors
Governor Bob McDonnell and the Virginia Board of Education announced last week that 728 schools and nine school divisions earned 2011 Virginia Index of Performance (VIP) awards for advanced learning and achievement.


Bullying Prevention Program to begin at SCW
All schools deal with the issue of bullying. St. Clare Walker is taking proactive steps to stop and prevent bullying by adopting the Olweus Bullying Prevention Program. It is a coordinated effort by all the adults in the school to supervise and intervene when any bullying happens.
