FBLA members help young cancer patients
On December 1, The Middlesex High School Future Business Leaders Association (FBLA) elves traveled to Richmond to host a Christmas party for preschool cancer patients at Penny Tree Place. Penny Tree Place is the resource center for The Association for the Support of Children With Cancer (ASK).

Children in the Middlesex Family YMCA After-School Program visited the offices of Middlesex Department of Social Services (DSS) on December 1 to spread Christmas cheer. With homemade, paper ornaments in hand, the group of 25 after-school youths and volunteers from Christchurch School hung angels, Advent chains and pom-pom candy canes.

On December 1 Middlesex High School students competed in the school-wide “Poetry Out Loud” recitation contest. Senior Ashley Williams won first place, and senior Chris Henry and sophomore Bryan Holman placed second and third, respectively.
12.08.2010College students award grant to HFH-Middlesex
Students enrolled in a philanthropy course at the University of Mary Washington have awarded a total of $10,000 to Habitat for Humanity-Middlesex, Rappahannock Goodwill Industries and the Bragg Hill Family Life Center.
