‘Looping’ at MES breeds confidence
The new school year brings a big change at Middlesex Elementary School (MES). For the first time, five classes at MES will have the same teacher for two school years in a program called “looping.”

RCC awards summer degrees and certificates
As a service to its students, Rappahannock Community College now awards degrees and certificates after each academic semester, rather than only in the spring. Graduates will receive their academic credentials at the time they complete the requirements, and may then march in the commencement procession the following May, if they wish.


Christchurch begins with new ‘River’ curriculum
Christchurch School opened its doors on Wednesday, September 1, with a new integrated academic curriculum - The River Journey: Discovering Places, Selves, Citizens.


MHS Band news
The kids involved with marching band were pleasantly surprised when they started band camp this summer. The rooms atmosphere has totally changed and band director Daphne Guill and the kids are extremely grateful to all who made this possible.
