School officials review MHS graduation rates
The results revealed that females in the 2008 Middlesex High School graduation class had the lowest percentage of all MHS groups for not graduating on time. Only 78.90 percent of female students graduated on time in 2008.

At the recent annual Kiwanis Capital District Convention held at the Richmond Marriott, Capital District Governor Art Riley presented Middlesex school teachers Judy and Bill Murray individual awards from Kiwanis International recognizing them as "Outstanding Faculty Advisors."

MHS is one of less than 100 high schools in Virginia and several other states participating in the PREP program. Each high school is partnered with a participating plant scientist and becomes an active part of the research being done in the professor’s lab.
