Schools seek public input via survey
The Middlesex Public School System has initiated “community satisfaction with the school system” surveys over the past two months. Click through and help out by taking the survey yourself.

School superintendents criticize budget cuts
The frustration was apparent Tuesday as several officers of the Virginia Association of School Superintendents (VASS) vented their opposition to the Governor’s proposed budget amendments, state and federal mandates, pay-for-performance pilot programs, and requirements to spend 65% of their budgets on instruction.


CUMC offers computer lab in February
Clarksbury United Methodist Church at Hardyville has set up a two-computer lab for middle and high school students of the Middlesex County Public School System who may not have computer access after school.


RCC leads state in enrollment increase
According to the recently published fall 2010 enrollment figures for the Virginia Community College System’s 23 member institutions, Rappahannock Community College led the headcount ratings with an increase of 10.3% over fall 2009.
