Middlesex student shines in trades competition
Two local students, Brandon Eanes of Middlesex County and Roger Eveland of West Point, who have been studying marine trades technology at Rappahannock Community College through dual enrollment agreements with their high schools, made an excellent showing in the 45th Annual National SkillsUSA Competition in Kansas City, June 21-27.

Middlesex High School Charger Band will have band camp from 5 to 8 p.m. on the following dates in the high school band room: August 4-6, all drum line/percussion and guard; August 10-13 all band and guard; and August 18-20, all band and guard. 07.29.2009RCC Middle College announces graduates
The free Middle College program recruits ages 18-24 who left high school without graduating in order to instruct, advise and support them through the process of earning a high school diploma or GED. Staff members encourage all of the students to aspire to a college education as well.

A series of valuable Professional Development Opportunities (PDOs) will be offered to local educators as part of the Summer 2009 Regional Education Consortium hosted by Rappahannock Community College’s Workforce Development Center and its training coordinator, Harriet Dawson.
