RCC tuition hike minimized
A tuition increase for fall 2010, says the State Board for Community Colleges, is unavoidable if the system is to continue giving excellent service to record numbers of students after the recent deep cuts in its state funding.

After-school enrichment program a huge success
by Principal Jeannie Duke: The idea was simple. I wanted to offer an after-school program to students that would give them opportunities to expand their knowledge and to do something fun after school that they might otherwise not get the chance to do.


Local NAACP introduces new achievement award
The Joshua Halstead Award is a new achievement award that will be presented by the Middlesex NAACP to the most improved student at St. Clare Walker Middle School. The improvement period spans grades 6-8.


Ware Academy graduates 17
imageWare Academy celebrated the school’s 60th graduating class with its annual Commencement Ceremony on Friday, June 4, at Ware Episcopal Church. The guest speaker was Karen Barefoot, head women’s basketball coach for Elon University.
